FruPro; streamlining your farm’s overages for online sales

Farmers can use online marketplaces to sell their crops directly to consumers, restaurants, and other buyers. These platforms can help farmers reach a wider audience and bypass traditional distribution channels.

What is FruPro?

A platform designed to link buyers and sellers of fresh produce together, FruPro is a business-to-business system to streamline bulk sales. With many growers working directly with supermarkets and other buyers, many growers won’t have alternative buyers if they grow too much. Plus, growers may need to buy in more crops if they fall short on their contractually agreed amount. As it can be difficult to find buyers for your overages, FruPro just makes that effortless.

How does LiveFarmer enable seamless online sales?

Agricultural software can help farmers manage their operations, including tracking crop production, forecasting demand, and optimizing pricing. Allowing for more informed decisions about how to sell the crops. LiveFarmer is linked to FruPro, and can automatically add any unallocated crops to the system.

The farm management software tracks everything, and you can load in how much crop you need to grow in order to meet the contract. Each harvest is set as a job, and everything that happens during that job is documented. Once the harvest has been complete, and the crops are sorted and weighed, it will automatically be assigned to the corresponding contract.

If the contract requires 400 tonnes, and you grow 500 tonnes, you will have 100 tonnes of overage. LiveFarmer will then automatically add this to the FruPro system based on your pricing requirements. When the product is sold, the job is updated on LiveFarmer, and set as unavailable for sale.

Mobile app for on demand efficiency

Mobile apps can help farmers connect with buyers, track sales, and manage their operations. For example, farmers can use apps to track inventory, schedule deliveries, and process orders. LiveFarmer does all this in one place, and has an iPad, iPhone, and android app. Whichever device you prefer to use, you can manage your entire farm from one place.
