Up to 30% increase in kale yield per hectare

Kale is one of the world’s most notorious “super foods”, being used in by many to improve their physical health. Kale is full of nutrients that help promote a healthy lifestyle. Kale sales in the UK sky rocketed between 2013 and 2017, which now consistently exceeds £30m. The top kale growers in the UK have gone from 10 tonnes of kale per week, to 46 tonnes on average! 

What is the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster? 

An exciting and new AgriTech product, the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster creates electromagnetic frequencies, without additional power, to improve crop growth. Plants natural frequencies fall within the range of 10Hz and 150KHz. When the environment is improved to promote the plants’ natural harmony, the plants are less stressed, faster at recovering from harvests, and increases profits by using less water and agrichemicals.  

How did the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster increase kale yield per acre? 

The original experiment was conducted in Johannesburg, South Africa. This study grew spinach, kale and alfalfa. More people are adopting more plant-based diets, and most farms need to be able to increase their kale yield instead of expanding the land used. The experiment results for South Africa were promising, therefore we wanted to also perform our own experiment based in the UK.  

What were the results? 

In June 2018, the first test was undertaken in South Africa. The crops being grown were alfalfa, kale, and spinach. They were documented to have a yield increased of 25-30%. The first observations indicated that the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster treated crops had a richer green colour, with more leaves per plant.  

To make sure that the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster would work on crops in the UK, First Base Solutions ran an experiment with a local farm. The results also confirmed that there was an increase in spinach and kale yield. The parameters for the control and treated crops were identical, except for the use of the KPCB; they were both indoors and in tunnels. The results were: 

• First harvest had a 24% increase in crop yield  
• Second harvest had an increase of 17.5% 
• The third and final harvest had an increase of 12.5% 

Each time the same plant is harvested, the stress levels increase; diminishing the amount harvested. The second and third harvests were still more than the control, which indicates that the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster increased the plants’ ability to recover.
