How to make blueberries grow bigger
Blueberries are a naturally sweet, moreish fruit, that are not only incredibly popular, but they are good for you. Blueberry farms are having to keep up with the demand, without investing in more land. One way this can be achieved, is by growing larger blueberries. The next question is, do you know how to grow bigger blueberries?
For a low cost, technology-based solution, there is the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster. Several studies, across many fruit crops, has shown increase in yield, and increase in quality. The KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster doesn’t even require external power in order to work.
What is the KPCB micro-transmitter?
The KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster is a low maintenance, micro transmitter that uses low frequency radio waves. The transmitters are installed on your existing irrigation system. The KPCB only activates with the presence of running water. Meaning you don’t need to power it up.
What were the results of the KPCB’s blueberries experiment?
Peru, 2020
For results on other experiments, you can check out our articles page. The Blueberry plants were initially tested in Peru in September 2020. The test was conducted on a blueberry farm across 4 acres, 1.6 hectares, to see if the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster had any effect on the yield, sweetness, and quality of the fruit.
The Brix acidity ratio was compared to a control group, and the Crop Boosted fruit had a significant increase in flavour quality. The blueberries harvested from the control group had a diameter of over 19mm in 78% of the yield, whereas the crop boosted yield was 88% above 19mm.
The most interesting result was the improved shelf life, there was less observational problems with the KPCB blueberries, such as bruising.
Chile, 2021
Following on from the success on Peru, the test this time was conducted in Chile. Focusing in how to grow more blueberries, the test was to see if there was any significant increase in exportable Brigitta Blueberry.
The field that used the KYMINASI PLANTS Crop Booster saw an increase of 26% in harvestable yield. Which in turn increased the exportable yield by 56%; which means more profit.
